Actoral

About

Initiated in 2001, Actoral is one of the flagship events of the cultural season in Marseille and France. The festival brings together around twenty theatres and cultural centers that collaborate for 3 weeks and 5 weekends, presenting a program with more than 200 artists to an audience of over 11,000 spectators. As a collaborative project, Actoral relies on numerous partners at local, national, and international levels. Each year, the festival honors authors and artists in theatre, dance, poetry, literature, visual arts, and music who question the notion of stage writing. The program comprises shows, stagings, performances, exhibitions, and live readings that challenge traditional boundaries between artistic realms, serving the discovery of new generations of artists, engaging renewed audiences, and highlighting both contemporary and future artistic forms.
