Aerial Arts Festival
Berlin, Germany
About
Aerial Arts Festival is a contemporary circus festival held in Berlin, Germany, organised by the Verein zur Überwindung der Schwerkraft (Association for Circus Arts), aiming to strengthen contemporary circus as an art form in the country. The festival brings outstanding and innovative aerial artists to the stage, addressing the underrepresentation of contemporary circus in the cultural sector while placing a particular focus on diversity among underrepresented artists, including LGBT+ performers, people of colour, older artists and career changers. The festival also includes a large convention for aerial artists featuring professional and amateur workshops.
