Alternative Festival for Chamber Music "Sansusī"

About

Alternative festival for chamber music Sansusī combines two festival formats, as an open-air chamber music festival designed with a slight rock festival feeling, held on the second weekend of August at the residence centre Susēja, Latvia. The festival is designed as an artistic adventure: audiences are invited not to look for recognisable names and stars, but to approach the festival as a unified work of art, from the programme to the scenography of the festival territory. There is no place for commercial billboards or traders that could distract the audience, so visitors are invited to participate with openness from beginning to end, discovering new works of art without preconceived expectations. All concerts and performances are treated as equally important, taking place with breaks between events so the audience can enjoy the aftertaste of each experience, with usually around 25 concerts and performances including programmes for children.
