ALTREFRONTIERE International Dance Festival
Scansano, Italy
About
ALTREFRONTIERE was born from the desire to give visibility to a concentration of different but compatible energies in the international context of dance, united by constant research through body language. It is built on the idea of breaking down borders, whether of body, mind, country or culture. Body language communicates without words, functioning as a universal language that can bring people together, like music. The festival shares and exchanges, aiming to expand knowledge about methods of investigation in the creative panorama of dance. ALTREFRONTIERE was founded in Rome as a collaboration between White Cloud Studio Roma, White Cloud Opera and D.M.A. Teatrodanza, and is hosted at Agriturismo Podere 153, a peaceful oasis in Maremma, Tuscany, as the Italian summer intensive welcoming dancers from around the world. Each year the programme includes technique classes, improvisation and composition workshops, and performances open to the public supported by renowned artists.
