Centrefest International Street Performer Festival
Red Deer, Canada
About
Centrefest is Central Alberta's premier international street performer festival, now celebrating its 22nd year in downtown Red Deer. Held annually on the last weekend of July on Ross Street, this free, fully wheelchair-accessible event showcases world-class buskers from over 15 countries performing acrobatics, juggling, fire breathing, magic, comedy, and contemporary circus arts. The festival attracts thousands of visitors who experience curated circle shows, roving performers, themed zones (Circus World, Water World), and a vibrant street market. Artists earn through the traditional "pass the hat" donation model, supporting touring professionals and local talent.
