About
CircusDanceFestival is an annual festival held in Cologne, Germany, addressing current societal issues through aesthetic developments in contemporary circus, dance and performance, with a particular focus on body-oriented, political and interdisciplinary working methods. The programme includes the format 360° Shorts, presenting international styles and new performative approaches for the round stage, alongside film formats exploring experimental work in interaction with the medium of film, and a family day aimed at younger audiences. The festival is based in the Rhine Meadows in northern Cologne, extending from the Latibul Theater & Circus Educational Center into the adjacent public park, with much of its programme staged outdoors and free of charge.
