About
CirkoBalkana is a contemporary circus festival held in a circus tent, and around it, in Zagreb, Croatia and Belgrade, Serbia, running in both cities since its start as a co-production between Cirkorama from Zagreb and Cirkusfera from Belgrade. The festival presents circus performances across a wide range of contemporary circus styles. The Zagreb edition carries the subtitle MONODISCIPLINE, a twist in the concept and programming reduced to a selection of performances based on a single circus technique each year, inviting artists who create within specific constraints to explore questions of borders and the limitations of the body.
