Cultural Street Festival (KUF) delivers art to city neighbourhoods where it is less represented or almost unavailable, spreading street art into public spaces outside the city centre and creating new performing spaces for local artists. Since 2020, the festival has also travelled to Sisak, a small town near Zagreb. KUF is environmentally conscious, arriving in neighbourhoods with a single vehicle, grandstands, sound system and battery-powered lights, leaving no waste behind. In Zagreb, KUF takes place every weekend in September, bringing performances, workshops, street music and exhibitions to several different neighbourhoods. The festival offers production support for artists creating shows designed for the street stage, selecting projects through a public call for festival premieres. A children's jury selects the best show of each neighbourhood and of the festival overall, and the programme includes collaborations with local comics and arts collectives.
