The Amposta International Theater and Circus Festival is a cultural and artistic initiative, born in 2013 from the Amposta School of Theater and Circus, organised jointly with Amposta City Council in the heart of the Delta de l'Ebre. It aims to position the city as a reference space for circus, physical theatre and the performing arts in Terres de l'Ebre, turning it into a showcase for live arts projects from around the world. The festival represents a commitment to promoting culture and live arts in the territory, bringing together touring companies with a clear vocation for street arts alongside creations born from performing arts schools throughout Catalonia. For this reason, the International Festival of Theater and Circus - festicAM - functions both as a performance showcase and as a space for dialogue, research and exchange.
