About

The Curitiba Festival (Festival de Curitiba) was founded in 1992 with just 14 performances and the ambition of bringing art and entertainment closer together. Over the years, it has grown, evolved, and established itself as one of Brazil’s leading platforms for national and international premieres, bringing together artists, ideas, trends, and, above all, people. For more than 30 years, the Festival has promoted access to culture through diverse programming and affordable ticket prices. Today, it is an established part of Brazil’s cultural calendar, maintaining a clear mission: to be an inclusive, open, and diverse space designed for audiences of all backgrounds. The Festival extends far beyond the Mostra Lúcia Camargo. Throughout the event, Curitiba hosts a variety of cultural experiences taking place simultaneously: the creative freedom of Fringe, the comedy of Risorama, the variety performances of MishMash, the children’s programming of Guritiba, the combination of music and gastronomy at Gastronomix, and the discussions and exchanges of Interlocuções. During the Festival, the entire city transforms into a vast open-air stage, inviting everyone to experience art, celebrate culture, and become part of a unique cultural gathering.
