Festival Maggio all'infanzia

About

Theatres as well as former convents, historic palaces, squares, parish halls and chapiteaux become the stage for an event dedicated to young audiences in Bari and surrounding municipalities, Italy. "Maggio all'Infanzia" is a theatre festival for new generations organised by Fondazione SAT Spettacolo Arte Territorio, with artistic direction by Teresa Ludovico. Held throughout May, the festival brings together Bari, Molfetta, Monopoli, Ruvo di Puglia and Martina Franca, hosting national and international youth theatre productions with premieres, morning school performances, and events for families and the public. Circus arts take center stage within chapiteaux hosting touring circus companies. The festival's focal point is its showcase of performances presented to industry professionals who come to Puglia to meet emerging companies and preview shows for upcoming theatre seasons. It is part of the Italiafestival network and the European Festivals Association under the EFFE Label project.
