Festival Opera Prima
Rovigo, Italy
About
A festival dedicated to contemporary theatre that explores and searches for new languages and voices. The festival celebrates new creativities of younger generations while hosting a variety of tendencies and research in Italian theatre. Opera Prima serves as a meeting place where artists, ideas, thoughts, and practices from different generations can interact, compare, and confront one another. The festival aims to build a bridge between past, present, and future by bringing together artists of different ages, teachers, students, well-known and rising performers. Operating from a small city, the festival seeks to create a space where real artistic differences can emerge away from larger communication centers.
