About
The Handmade and Recycled Theater Festival (HRTFest) is a multi-themed festival organised by Fabrica Athens in Athens, Greece, since 2013, built around the concept of handmade, DIY artistic creation. The festival is addressed to artists who work primarily with personal, manual techniques and with recycled or low-budget materials, regardless of artistic discipline, gender, age or nationality. Centred at Fabrica Artspace and RECTIFIE, a research centre for mixed performing arts, the festival expands into the surrounding neighbourhood through collaborations, and is run collectively by its participating artists.
