About
Insolito Festival, curated by Micro Macro ETS since 2014, takes place in Parma and surrounding municipalities during August, September, and October. The festival focuses on the relationship between contemporary theatre and the city, its urban spaces, and inhabitants. It offers an intergenerational program for children, young people, and adults, featuring contemporary theatre in diverse languages, poetics, and genres. The festival presents performances by national and international artists alongside original creations inspired by urban explorations and local community encounters. Supported by the Municipality of Parma, Emilia-Romagna Region, and various foundations, it collaborates annually with local institutions including universities, schools, associations, and theatres.
