About
The Sommerwerft is an international theatre festival on the river, held on the banks of the Main in Frankfurt, Germany. For around seventeen days, a shipyard is transformed into a cultural space full of theatre, dance, music and performance, inviting audiences to engage with the political present and dare to look into the future together. The festival explores what utopia means today, creating spaces where people can come together on the theatre square, in tents and in workshops.
