About
INTERPLAY is the longest-running contemporary dance and performing arts festival in the region, held annually between late May and mid-June. The festival presents emerging and mid-career artists through performances in theatres and urban spaces throughout the city. The program features both established companies and new choreographic voices, with an emphasis on bold aesthetic choices and innovative work. A distinctive feature is the outdoor dance section, created in collaboration with local cultural organizations, which extends programming to suburban areas and includes free, accessible events to promote social inclusion. The festival has held the European EFFE Label since 2015 and participates in international networks including Les Réperages, Dance Roads, and AnticorpiXL.
