About
Kuopio Dance Festival is the largest and most diverse dance festival in the Nordics, held each June in Kuopio, Finland. A busy festival week features more than one hundred dance performances, courses, seminars and other events, founded in 1970 and driven since by joy, passion and a desire for continuous development, drawing around 35,000 visitors annually. The organising association aims to promote the practice and professionalism of dance, music and cultural tourism at local, national and international level, welcoming performers of major Finnish and international dance art alongside performances by students and enthusiasts in the field.
