Ridda Selvaggia is a children's literature festival held in Lanusei, Sardinia, combining books and storytelling with visual and performing arts. Taking place in the natural setting of Bosco Seleni with additional school-based activities, the festival is promoted by the Municipality of Lanusei and curated by Cooperativa Tuttestorie. Drawing inspiration from Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are and the local landscape—including forests, archaeological sites, and an astronomical observatory—the festival celebrates imagination, childhood transformation, and connections with nature. The programme features approximately 100 events including workshops, talks, readings, and performances by authors, illustrators, artists, storytellers, and scholars, positioning itself as a community-based cultural project involving families, schools, local associations, and cultural institutions.
