Roztoč Fest

About

Roztoč Fest is an international festival of movement arts, circus and flow arts held at a former missile base in Bratronicy, Czech Republic, with support from the local association and neighbouring villages. Over several days, the festival offers various forms of flow art and related genres, alongside concerts. It has an interactive character, actively involving the audience and offering opportunities to acquire new skills. Flow art, closely related to "object manipulation", is a movement and dance with equipment; unlike juggling, with which it is sometimes confused, flow arts explores "flowing with an object" using manipulative techniques and is a popular form of active meditation. Unlike some new circus disciplines that require long-term preparation and balancing skills, flow arts is more open to complete beginners, and the festival's aim is to raise awareness of this discipline and introduce audiences to leading artists innovating in the field.
