The world's largest celebration of storytelling, held annually in Edinburgh in October as the seasons change. The festival brings together Scottish and international storytellers and musicians to celebrate traditional and contemporary culture through tales, music, and characters. Taking place during the long nights of autumn, the festival draws on the Scottish ceilidh tradition, creating community gatherings filled with tales, anecdotes, music, songs, and ballads that unite families and friends around the hearth.
