About
Tampere Theatre Festival is the oldest theatre festival in northern Europe, held annually in Tampere, Finland, as a showcase for leading Finnish and international productions. Its Main Programme forms the artistic core of the festival, complemented by the OFF Tampere fringe festival, the TelttaLab Programme and the Great Nocturnal Happening, alongside meetings, seminars and discussions held throughout the festival week. Each August, local and international performing arts companies take over the city's stages and squares, turning Tampere into Finland's theatre capital for the duration of the festival.
