About
Theatrum Kuks is a multidisciplinary festival showcasing Baroque and Baroque-inspired art set in the village of Kuks, a 300-year-old European cultural centre. The festival presents live arts across all disciplines and genres, featuring performances and exhibitions inspired by Baroque art history and local cultural heritage linked to Count of Sporck, the village's founder. The festival offers workshops and residencies for artists to explore Baroque heritage and find connections to contemporary art. Theatrum Kuks also operates the Gallery of Marionettes with a unique collection of 50 marionettes by Jiří Nachlinger, and collaborates with Nova Sit to organize Malá Loutková Inventura, a puppet festival celebrating the region's puppetry tradition.
