TranziT - European Festival of Contemporary Theatre Practices
Rijeka, Croatia
About
The TranziT festival brings devised theatre performances by local and international artists to Rijeka, Croatia, alongside workshops, moderated discussions, research labs, and dance film collaborations. The festival selects contemporary theatre works addressing themes relevant to current social issues, aiming to foster more peaceful and equitable societies. The festival believes that arts and culture play a vital role in developing better societies and connecting diverse communities. It creates a sustainable transnational structure for independent European cultural operators, providing capacity building and resources to present progressive contemporary theatre practices to wide audiences while serving both experienced theatre audiences and newcomers to the art form.
