Ukraine Fringe
Kyiv, Ukraine
About
Ukraine Fringe grew out of PRO.ACT Fest, the only English-language theatre festival in Ukraine, which changed its format after five years of existence. The idea for Ukraine Fringe came from two international theatre makers, the founder of Prague Fringe and the artistic director of ProEnglish Theatre of Ukraine, who set out to bring the international fringe culture to Ukraine and raise awareness about the country worldwide. The festival is typically held in two formats: a Kyiv programme, where participants bring performances to venues across the city, and an online component where participants unable to travel show their work on an international online platform.
