Waldorfest

Waldorfest is a small festival of around a thousand people in the Danube bend, Hungary, whose magical and peaceful atmosphere is created by festival-goers together with performers, volunteers and organisers. It is a grassroots festival, run largely by volunteers in their spare time, open and accessible to all. Its aim is to create a cultural space where young artists and NGOs can present themselves and anyone can exchange ideas, in a free, relaxed and peaceful environment. The core of the festival programme is made up of civil, craft, music, literature, theatre and other creative communities, seeking to spread knowledge, connect with nature and protect the environment while having fun. The organising team, who have known each other since childhood, formulate what they call "Waldorfism", combining values brought from Waldorf education with other principles, creating a meeting point for artists, creators and creative people from diverse backgrounds.
