Teora, Italy
Wine & Taranta Fest is a summer event held in Teora, a town of around 2,000 citizens in upper Irpinia, Campania region, southern Italy. Taking place over three days in the second weekend of July, the festival celebrates traditional popular music known as taranta, combined with tastings of local wines and typical regional products. The event transforms the historical centre's main streets into a journey where visitors can taste fine local wines, observe traditional craftsmanship, and enjoy live music from local folk groups and taranta artists. Food is central to the festival, featuring dishes such as handmade pasta with offal sauce (suffritt'), grilled local meats, artisanal cheeses, and seasonal produce. The festival attracts both locals and regional tourists through its showcase of Teora's rich cultural, historical, and gastronomic heritage.
