CIRKL is an annual contemporary circus festival held in Leuven, Belgium, bringing together circus companies and artists from across Europe for a programme of indoor, outdoor and site-specific performances throughout the city. Alongside its main programme, the festival provides a dedicated platform, run in collaboration with Cirkus in Beweging, for young and emerging circus groups to present new work to a live audience. CIRKL functions as a meeting point for the circus sector, bringing together artists, organisers and audiences, and partners with organisations such as Circuscentrum to host discussions on accessibility and the development of the field. The festival keeps a significant part of its programme free of charge and works with local social initiatives to make the event accessible to a broad public.
