contraDANÇA is a festival with a solid artistic base, where the keyword is contemporary movement, bringing together dance, performance, theatre, contemporary circus, media arts and music in the town of Covilhã, Portugal. Visitors are invited to attend ASTA's programme of shows and parallel activities. The festival aims to promote and develop various forms of contemporary artistic expression in the region, offering visibility to new artists and beginning projects alongside established and emerging creators. Since its first edition in 2006, the festival has continued to pave the way for contemporary creation in the countryside.
