Kavč Festival hosts artists and performers from many different countries across venues in Ljubljana, Trieste, Maribor, Nova Gorica, Celje, Idrija, Cerknica, Loška dolina and other locations across Slovenia. The festival creates a melting pot of musical genres and performance art forms, offering visitors the opportunity to attend intimate events such as jazz, ethno, folk, choir, hip-hop, baroque, experimental, electronic and genre-blending concerts, as well as dance, puppet, cabaret and street theatre performances in kitchens, living rooms, galleries, ateliers, museums, studios, offices, barns, cellars and mountain lodges. Public festival events take place each evening in bigger venues in Ljubljana, functioning as an incubator for new projects and a catalyst for cultural happenings, where artists and performers connect with each other and with audiences in informal settings, bringing art and culture into everyday spaces.
