On the American continent, Kokopelli is a god of fertility; the festival wants to give people a taste of the range of cultures on the globe, which can bring fertility in the form of celebration and music. Kokopelli, held in Wevelgem, Belgium, sits right in the middle of today's world, offering a view of the world and encouraging people to think about the global impact of their own lifestyle. This culminates in the annual festival each May, with actions and communication about world citizenship running throughout the year. Kokopelli is run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers who, with the support of partners including governments, businesses and NGOs, bring the world closer together.
