About
LEME is an arts festival held in Ílhavo, Portugal, exploring new languages of contemporary circus and artistic creation in unconventional spaces. Promoted by Bússola and 23 Milhas, a cultural project of Ílhavo Municipality, the festival creates a space of contact between Portuguese creators and international artistic trends, supporting new Portuguese artistic creation while promoting international exchange. The festival aims to connect family audiences with specialised professional audiences, extending artistic contact to new languages and transforming perceptions of contemporary circus beyond its classical image.
