The May Song Festival, organized by the Dečiji kulturni centar Niš, is one of the most recognizable children's music events in the Balkans and Europe. Held annually in Niš, the festival celebrates children's creativity, musical talent, and performance through original songs written especially for children. The festival features competitive and non-competitive segments where young performers of different age groups perform as soloists or in vocal ensembles. A professional jury evaluates performances and awards prizes for interpretation, composition, lyrics, and stage performance.
