About
An annual four-day summer music festival held in mid-August at the Ancient Fortress of Niš, Serbia. Since its inception in 1995, the festival has presented traditional jazz forms alongside their fusion with ethnic traditions from around the world. The festival features multiple stages throughout the fortress, including main stages with six bands per evening, plus open stages and specialty venues like the Midnight Jam Stage and River Stage. A permanent offering is the free Nisville workshop, providing chat meetings and lectures for young musicians led by festival participants. The festival has hosted renowned artists including Solomon Burke, Joss Stone, Jean Luc Ponty, Al Di Meola, Osibisa, and many others.
