About
The Setúbal International Theatre Festival – Festa do Teatro began in 1995 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Teatro Estúdio Fontenova. The festival presents benchmark shows from national and international companies alongside emerging artists through its OFF - Mais Festa section. It features a competition where winners join the Official Section the following year, plus an OFF - Extra-Competition section offering additional visibility for artistic creations. The programme includes workshops, live music, exhibitions, short film screenings, and theatre talks. The festival is supported by the Municipality of Setúbal and has received support from various cultural institutions and embassies.
