About
Trengo is an annual contemporary circus festival based in Porto, Portugal, founded in 2016. Each edition presents several contemporary circus shows in public and indoor spaces, maintaining a strong relationship with national circus creators and a close, informal connection with the public. Originally concentrated in Porto, the festival has since developed partnerships extending its programming to Teatro Viriato in Viseu and Ponto C in Penafiel. Alongside performances, Trengo organises training activities, conversations and meetings between artists and programmers through its "Empurrão" strand.
