Desiré Central Station is an international regional contemporary theatre festival held in Subotica, Serbia, organised by the Dežső Kosztólanyi Theatre and named after the Hungarian poet and writer. Building on a long-running series of cultural events dating back to 2006, the festival presents progressive, innovative art from national and international contemporary artists, with particular attention to Hungarian-language productions given the host theatre's identity. Positioned at the cultural crossroads between the Balkans and Europe in a multi-ethnic environment, Desiré Central Station aims to grow into a regional centre for contemporary arts and theatre.
