Festival Caipira de Circo

Festival Caipira de Circo

Piracicaba, Brazil

About

Festival Caipira de Circo celebrates traditional circus arts in Piracicaba, reviving a cultural tradition through free, fully accessible performances. Founded by MB Circo (Bruno Peruzzi and Dani Maimoni) in 2025, the festival features curated spectacles showcasing clown work, juggling, acrobatics, and fire performance by companies from across Brazil and international artists. Notable for its commitment to inclusion and accessibility—all sessions include audio description, Libras interpretation, and tactile Libras—the festival serves diverse audiences and families. Held at the historic Engenho Central venue, it fills a gap left by Piracicaba's previous Festival Paulista de Circo, now hosted in São Paulo. The inaugural edition (January 2025) attracted 3,500+ attendees.
